Kick off Independent Bookshop Week celebrations with us and join our epic six hour Readathon in the Chapel Allerton shop, Saturday June 13th
Happy Independent Bookshop Week! From June 13-20 we have a whole host of events, giveaways and promotions planned to celebrate, but we also want to highlight The National Year of Reading. This means we need to be reading loudly and proudly to help encourage everyone to get involved and pick up a book. And what better way to share Chapel Allerton's love for reading than to host an epic, six hour long Readathon in our beautiful, giant window?! If you or a mini reader you know would like to spend a cheeky 20 minutes in our window reading, then read on...
HOW IT WORKS:
- Select and sign up to a 20 minute slot (for free!)
- Arrive on Saturday June 13th 5 minutes before your slot, with your book of choice
- Climb into the window with your book and enjoy a relaxing 20 minutes reading in a comfy armchair with (fingers crossed) the Saturday sunshine streaming through
Everyone who participates in our Readathon will then have 20% off any purchases made on the day as a thank you. We hope you'll help us kick off Independent Bookshop Week in true bookworm style, and help us inspire passerbys to pick up a book themselves.
This event is free to participate in. Please note that we welcome any children who wish to participate, but children under the age of 11 need to be accompanied by an adult for the duration of their 20 minute slot.
