It's time for our final round of highly opinionated but incredibly friendly Pud & Proof evenings for 2026! This time we have hand selected proof books straight from the biggest bookselling industry event of the year, and we'll be continuing with adding a nifty craft element to the evening. Join us for bookish chat, more delicious baked goods and discounted bookshopping!

Are you the kind of reader who's always ahead of bookish trends? Would you love to know spoilers for some of the biggest book releases before the books are even on bookshop shelves? Then this event is 100% for you, because we need your help keeping on top of this year's most exciting new books...

How it works:

Book a ticket here or in store and pop the bookshop to choose a proof book starter pack. These are pre-publication, unfinished versions of books we receive to read and review ahead the of books being available to buy. We have a HUGE collection of proof books of all genres.
Read your proof book! Fill in the mini review sheet that comes in your proof book starter pack
Join us in the bookshop on Friday, November 6th 7-8.30pm for an exciting evening of (you guessed it) puddings, drinks and bookish proof chat!

We're so looking forward to sampling some delicious baked goods from local businesses and chatting about upcoming books with you!

P.S. After the event, you'll be able to keep your proof book or trade it with other attendees!
