Sunday 15 November, 4:30 – 6 pm. Tickets: FREE / Ticket plus The Amiglings: £8.99
We are thrilled that Leeds-based author and illustrator Leanne Beardsley will be joining us for her book launch at The Little Bookshop. Leanne is the author of picture book Please Cloud, Don’t Cry and the co-founder of Cloudberry and Ink, a new independent picture book publisher.
Her latest book, The Amiglings is inspired by the amygdala, the part of our brain that helps us respond to danger. It is a lyrical, comforting story about big feelings, overwhelming moments and the power of a calm, caring presence. Because even when feelings feel enormous, no child should have to face them alone.
They flap when the world feels too loud. They flap when plans change. They flap when feelings grow too big. And they flap the loudest near your heart.
For every child who has ever felt too much. And every grown-up who has ever wondered what to say.
Leanne’s work celebrates neurodiversity and she will be signing copies of The Amiglings during her book launch.
Please note: Booking is essential, online or at the bookshop.
