Pageturners is back after taking a well-earned summer break. We are a fun, interactive book group for 8-11 year-olds which meets at The Little Bookshop on a monthly basis. 2026 is the National Year of Reading and we welcome new members to join us for book talk and creative fun.
This month, we’ll be talking about our two summer reads: The Street Art Mystery, Sharna Jackson ‘s latest mystery for aspiring sleuths and When the World Ends, a thrilling dystopian novel by Joanna Nadin. We’d also love to hear about other books you’ve read and enjoyed during your summer holidays.
Our end-of-year quiz was postponed in July due to the heat wave, so we’ll be testing our book knowledge in a revamped back-to-school edition. Alison will also be introducing us to one of her favourite graphic novel creatives, the amazing Mika Song.
Ask an adult to book you a place, online or at the bookshop. Tickets are £7 and include refreshments (and a Pageturners discount of 10% on book group titles).
Adults should be present at the session but are not required to pay for a ticket (max. one adult per child).
