Pageturners is a fun, interactive book group for 8-11 year-olds which meets on the first Thursday of the month. This month, we’ll be discussing Kiran Millwood Hargrave’s immersive fantasy adventure In the Shadow of the Wolf Queen (£7.99) , the first exciting instalment of her Geomancer trilogy.
Readers will be drawn into Ysolda’s world and her dangerous quest to save her sister. It seems an impossible mission, leaving the safety of her home in Glaw Wood, but Ysolda is smart, resourceful and has the help of her loyal sea hawk, Nara. We’ll also be thinking of questions to send to Kiran about her writing and inspiration.
