The Little Bookshop is proud to celebrate three years of open mic poetry evenings with a special event at Seven Arts. Since 2022 we’ve showcased the best local poets and have provided a welcoming space for new voices to share their creativity. We were also honoured to be the official bookseller for the Forward Poetry Prizes ceremony in 2023, at which Leeds-based poet Jason Allen-Paisant was awarded the prize for best collection (Self-Portrait as Othello).
Our nine past headline poets write verse that encompasses life, love and landscape; we are delighted that they’ll be joining us:
Kayleigh Campbell, Joao Coimbra, Susan Darlington, Jacob Davies, Colin Day, Sam Judd, Lydia Kennaway, Tonnie Richmond and Emma Storr
After readings from our headliners we’ll invite audience members to take the mic. The evening will conclude with book sale and signing.
