Join us for our Adult Book Group - Thursday 3 July, 7-8:00 pm
Tickets £7.00/£15.50
This month, we’ll be discussing The Horse by celebrated American novelist and singer-songwriter, Willy Vlautin. In his latest novel, he returns to many of the themes of his previous fiction: loneliness, isolation, addiction and the relentless toll of life on the road.
65-year-old Al Ward is hiding out in a disused Nevada mine, haunted by memories and with his songs his only solace. When a horse suddenly appears outside one winter, Al is forced unwillingly back into the present to confront his past failures and help the beleaguered animal.
You can order your copy of The Horse from The Little Bookshop when you book your place and receive a 15% discount (£9.99 RRP).
Booking is essential, online or at the bookshop.

‘A terrific parable of art and aging.’ – Jess Walter
